What is the difference between refill and exchange?
A refill uses an eligible privately owned cylinder that is inspected and filled. An exchange replaces an empty participating commercial cylinder with a filled cylinder of the same approved size, subject to brand conditions and stock.
Which cylinders can be refilled?
Eligible privately owned LPG cylinders can be inspected at the Luka branch before filling. Cylinders outside the permitted inspection or test period will not be refilled.
Can damaged cylinders be accepted?
LTS Energy may refuse cylinders with visible defects such as severe rust, dents, fire damage, valve damage, damaged foot rings, or other safety concerns.
Does LTS install customer-owned appliances?
LTS Energy can assess a customer-purchased appliance if it is suitable for LPG use, carries the appropriate South African verification or approval, and is in safe condition.
When is a Gas CoC issued?
A Gas Certificate of Conformity is issued where required for the completed scope of work and once inspection and testing are complete.
